The EIA reported the first withdraw of the season of -134 Bcf which was much higher than the predicted -113 Bcf. Last year’s withdraw was -42 Bcf and the 5-year average is -25 Bcf. Today’s withdraw widened the storage deficit by 3%. Storage stands at 3.113 Tcf which is 17% below last years total and 19% lower than the five-year average. The December 2018 contract is trading 18 cents higher at $4.704 MMBtu.
